Just a great hotel. We came here at Christmas time and my favorite was finding Waldo on the gingerbread house. The room was good and quiet. The Christmas brunch was just food which was good but I was expecting more. The stroll was nice short but confusing as we came from the back end from the hotel and must have started in the middle. Entrance is by the gate. Loved coffee by the early fire. the games were fun and it was quite relaxing. we will be back for sure.

The hotel is every bit as grand and charming as its name suggests! A stunning, beautifully landscaped property with the most welcoming atmosphere and Southern hospitality! The delicious cocktails and food on the property are such a treat, and our room in the main building was full of charm and character with its original wood paneling, beautifully updated marble bathrooms, fine linens, and a gorgeous view of the water. The pool is the perfect way to spend the day… whether enjoying it with your kids or relaxing in the adult area for a more peaceful atmosphere. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay, and it is truly a place I cannot wait to return to! I want to give special recognition to Chloe for her outstanding service. She set the tone for a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, and anytime we had a question or issue, she was more than happy to assist with such professionalism and warmth. It is rare to come across someone who embodies both qualities so naturally. Chloe is a true credit to the hotel and elevated our entire experience. She made us feel genuinely cared for, and it’s because of employees like her that guests will always want to return. She represents the very best of The Grand Hotel, and I cannot thank her enough for making our stay so memorable!

The eastern shore of Mobile Bay has a lot to offer. Fairhope is one of the last two single tax colonies left in the United States. There is old money here and the city reflects that with beautiful landscaping on almost every corner of the city. The Grand hotel has beautiful grounds that I enjoyed a nice walk after dinner. I was impressed with the comfortable rooms and one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever started my day with.

What a beautiful place to stroll by the water under the gorgeous trees! It's truly a wonderful place to take pictures, sit and swing while looking over the water and dining in the hotel's restaurant! All of our dishes were incredibly tasty and the wait staff were professional and friendly! We loved Q and Veronica, they took care of our every need. Thanks for a perfect day!

The grounds are amazing! Live oaks, views of the bay and a beautiful pond with amazing wild life and friendly ducks. My husband and I visited for the first time and were very impressed with the beauty of the entire place, the level of service and variety of activities. The cannon fire each day is a mist to learn about the history. We loved the Bayside Grill, bike riding and live music at the 1847 lounge.

The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, located on Scenic Hwy 98 in Fairhope, Alabama, is in the top 1% of my all time favorite places in the whole world. A more beautiful resort, you’ll be hard pressed to find. It’s a one-stop shop for your next vacation. You never have to leave the property because there’s so much to do. You can swim in outdoor and indoor pools, fish from their pier, play golf at two championship courses, and they have lawn games like croquet and horseshoes. The Grand has the best spa in the South. The best. In the whole South. Whatever you have to pay to get in, pay it, and shhhhhh, don’t talk in their quiet room but do sit in their amazing spa hot tub. The Grand Hotel has multiple places to eat- a cafe, Bayside Grill, and Lakewood Golf Clubhouse. Check out the live nighttime entertainment at Bucky's Lounge and enjoy a daily afternoon tea. There is so much to do and see, just start with walking around the many brick sidewalks, taking in the views of Mobile Bay. This is one of the most beautiful Marriott properties you will ever set foot on. The day I took these pictures, a friend and I went to eat at Bayside Grill. Our food was excellent, and our server, Lorelei, was sweet as pie. She gave us her favorite food suggestions, took care of all of our needs, and headed us in the direction of the spa. She was really fun to talk to. The Grand Hotel was decorated for Christmas on that day, and their gingerbread house is so fantastic! The outdoor decorations are stunning at night. The Grand Hotel is such an amazing resort; you’ll enjoy every minute and make so many memories.

Beard Party Room 4306 Duration of Stay: 09/19/2025 - 9/22/2025 From the moment you arrive, the Grand Hotel in Point Clear sets itself apart. The security gate and check-in process add an extra layer of peace of mind—something I especially appreciate when traveling with small children. It’s clear that guest safety and comfort are a top priority here. This is a true full-service resort offering everything from spa services to room service, valet, and more. I was particularly impressed with the valet team. When it came time to retrieve my vehicle, they didn’t just bring it to the main porte-cochère—they actually delivered it directly to my building. That level of convenience is a notch above what you’d expect even from resorts in a similar category and price point. Because the Grand is laid out in a campus-style setting, you might expect to fend for yourself once checked in—but not here. From check-in to departure, the staff went above and beyond to make things seamless. Our luggage was promptly delivered, and upon checkout, our car was brought right to our building while the team loaded our bags directly from the room. It was honestly one of the most hassle-free arrivals and departures I’ve ever experienced. The grounds are stunning and family-friendly. The campus is large enough for kids to run and explore freely, with tons of outdoor activities—bocce ball, horseshoes, and several water-based games. The pool area is beautifully designed with a spacious shallow section that makes wading with little ones easy and relaxing. The pool attendants were exceptional, consistently checking in and ensuring guests had everything they needed. As for the food, the quality speaks for itself. I especially enjoyed the pastries and croissants, which are all made fresh in-house—you can immediately tell the difference. Overall, the Grand Hotel delivers a rare blend of luxury, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to plan your next visit before you’ve even left.

We’ve always loved the Grand but this time, for Christmas, was extra special. Jordan, at the front desk, was absolutely amazing and helped us with everything! We stayed in contact with him the entire stay and he made sure our time was perfect!! Thank you, Jordan!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grand. The hotel grounds are immaculate. The staff was fabulous. The bay views are spectacular. We really enjoyed the 1.5 mile bay front sidewalk to the south of the property that goes in front of all the multi million dollar estates. Every home looks like the cover of Southern Living. Furthermore the nearby towns of Fairhope and Point Clear are like real life Hallmark movies. So much fun for a couples getaway. We are definitely coming back sooner than later.
